Lebogang Nthite is not your average nurse. A seasoned professional, mother to a 16-year-old son, and soon-to-be wife, she’s also a thriving Nursepreneur reshaping healthcare one clinic at a time. Nthite is the founder of Le’Flora Wellness Clinic, a private practice network focused on childhood illnesses, named in honour of her late mother, Florence. Since launching in 2021, she has opened three clinics that offer affordable, quality care in underserved communities. Driven by a passion for nursing and a desire to empower others, Nthite established Nurse’s. Vision Holds Power (NVHP) in 2022. The movement supports nurses who aspire to become entrepreneurs and leaders. “I wanted to change how nurses see themselves—not just as caregivers, but as innovators and decision-makers,” she explains. NVHP has since grown from 10 members to a vibrant national network offering mentorship, training, and leadership development. It collaborates with institutions like the Academy of Excellence and M² Medical to offer refresher courses such as basic phlebotomy. Nthite’s innovation includes introducing digital solutions like telemedicine and building collaborative care models. Her efforts earned her the 2024 Healthpreneur of the Year (Southern Africa) award from the FOYA Awards. Navigating complex healthcare regulations and limited resources hasn’t been easy, but Nthite leans on a support system of mentors and like-minded professionals. “My journey is not perfect, but it’s purposeful. Seeing my mentees win is the greatest reward.” Her guiding motto? “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.” Nthite’s work continues to uplift communities and redefine what it means to be a nurse in today’s world—compassionate, capable, and visionary.
