There isn’t much that Ntsako Mahlaule doesn’t know about branding. Not only does she brand businesses, but her own personal brand as a savvy young entrepreneur has won her countless commendations. The 33-year-old was recently a recipient of MTN Women in Digital business funding for her printing and branding company called Charged Up. The funding assisted her in securing larger premises and purchasing new equipment, she also received one-on-one mentorship which has helped her make better business decisions. “The biggest impact has been being introduced to my mentor who has continued to support my business development,” she says. And now Ntsako is paying it forward by encouraging other young entrepreneurs to also take a leap of faith and find the confidence to launch their own businesses. “I want to build a platform that supports entrepreneurs, fosters meaningful partnerships, and helps young people turn their ideas into sustainable businesses,” she says. “By building our own paths today, we inspire and create opportunities for the generations that will come after us.” Ntsako says the stamp of approval from the MTN team has increased client trust in her capabilities. “Being associated with a brand like MTN has strengthened credibility for Charged Up, giving people more confidence in our services and helping us grow our customer base and impact,” she says. From the dusty streets of Bushbuckridge, the poised and polished business owner says she has never lost sight of where she came from and the opportunities presented to her. “I am inspired by the courage and resilience of the youth of 1976, we must continue to stand firm through challenges, stay committed to our purpose, become the best versions of ourselves, and chase our dreams with determination,” she says.
