I have played from the lowest level all the way to wearing green and gold and representing the country. This month I will travel to Botswana to represent SA.” He is a sports champion at CPUT and has used his influence to grow the sport at university level across the country. “I have led the CPUT team to several medals at nationals, and as a result our club has the prestige of having the most players getting national call-ups,” he says. “I have managed to get two tables and flooring sponsored, and this has boosted our abilities and confidence. I love this sport because it’s complex, stimulating, and challenges how one reacts, analyses and makes decisions.”
