Chantelle de Bruyn is an extraordinary social and healthcare entrepreneur whose innovation, Buttercup Farmhouse, is revolutionising the agricultural industry.  

De Bruyn focuses on product creation and specialised crop production, and has received multiple awards for her unique approach.  

She has been named the National Department of Agriculture’s 2022 Top Youth Agro-Processor, recognised for her “Most Innovative Product” by the Cwena Network in 2022, and named Action Coach’s 2021/2022 Overall Winner in Business of the Year, among many other accolades. 

Previously, she held different leadership roles in chambers of commerce and has directed food development Agritech businesses.  

De Bruyn beams with pride at the pace at which Buttercup Farmhouse is growing locally and globally. Among other milestones, the business is listed by the Tiger Brands Company and the process is now in its finalising phase.  

De Bruyn was nominated for the upcoming Forty under 40 South African Awards. She has been invited to the African Food Changemakers Summit, where she will be representing South Africa in the Agri Food Tech space. 

In October, de Bruyn will jet off to Cologne, Germany, as one of the 10 individuals who will be representing South Africa in the beverage space at the festival of Agri Innovators.
