More info:

Fhulufhelo Muvhali is an inspiring and dedicated individual who is making a significant impact in the field of education, particularly in rural communities.

Her work through The Child Upliftment Corner Foundation and her involvement in various educational initiatives demonstrate her commitment to creating positive change and promoting inclusivity in the educational sector.

Muvhali’s establishment of a literacy hub at Mamali Sikhwivhilu primary school is a commendable initiative that addresses the lack of access to reading materials in rural areas. By providing a library with a variety of story books in both Tshivenda and English, she is not only closing the literacy gap but also encouraging a love for reading and learning among children. For this project, she partnered with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Literacy4life and the Limpopo education department.

Her focus on STEM education in rural communities is essential for equipping young learners with the skills and knowledge needed for the modern world. Her involvement in mentoring future scientists and innovators through programmes such as the Eskom Science Expo and the UNIVEN Skills for the Future Programme showcases her dedication to nurturing the talents of young people and empowering them to pursue careers in science and technology.

Muvhali is a student in the University of Venda’s faculty of science, engineering and agriculture.
