Mahlatse Mamaila, Founder and MD of INO-Biodiesel, is rewriting the narrative of green energy and inclusivity. With an accounting background, her journey took a transformative turn during the Covid-19 pandemic. Inspired by an article highlighting the advantages of waste cooking oil, she embarked on a mission to drive positive and sustainable change.

Mamaila champions inclusivity by involving women, youth, and children in climate change initiatives through digital technology. Collaborating with rural communities, she advances agricultural development, ensuring food security, a sustainable environment, and low carbon economy. Her efforts prevents waste oil from polluting rivers, which provides clean water to communities, schools, and clinics.

Guiding her company with decisiveness, she defies norms as a female leader. Balancing work and family, she paves the way for others while prioritising her well-being.

Mamaila’s impact resonates beyond her business. She empowers women with technical and leadership skills. She challenges gender stereotypes and fostering female participation in the energy sector.

Her inclusive approach and dedication to sustainability are not only shaping a thriving business but also a better world.
