Project Name/Description:
Lecturer – Central University of Technology
Moloiyatsana Dina Moloja is a youthful and passionate information technology lecturer at the Central University of Technology. Dedicated to personal development, she strives to positively impact her students’ lives beyond the lecture halls.
Apart from her roles as a practitioner and educator, she’s the visionary and the founder of Heart of Joy, a non-profit organisation making change through transformative programmes such as Nkosazana and Man of Impact. She’s also involved in her church campus ministry, guiding students through the often turbulent phases of student life by strengthening their spiritual understanding.
Moloja’s profile has attracted global audiences. This led to her giving presentations in France and Spain.
Despite her demonstrable excellence as an academic, Moloja says she nevertheless faces difficulties in accessing career advancement and growth opportunities within her industry. “The sad part is that the industry is not always inclusive and supportive, making it challenging to feel like I belong. Furthermore, we have limited access to mentorship and sponsorship which hinders my professional development and progression.”
She believes that since many tech organisations now prioritise gender diversity through formal programmes, including mentorship, executive training and leadership development, there is still a need for continuous evaluation and strategic adjustment.
