Nominee's Province:
Free State
Project Name/Description:
Founder – Dile Events
Nkhethoa Mokoena is a radiography graduate from the Central University of Technology who has built a prominent name for herself in business. Mokoena is the founder of Dile Events, a Botshabelo-based company whose focus is on catering, décor as well as flower arrangements.
Mokoena quit her job as a radiographer to kickstart her entrepreneurial ambitions, a risk that has since become a blessing to the many people she employs directly and also creates business opportunities for.
In 2022, she expanded her business to include a floral shop which, shortly upon its establishment, experienced a significant boom, resulting in Mokoena being nicknamed “Botshabelo’s florist”. Mokoena’s aim is not to only create beautiful events or memories for her clients, but to offer them a complete and personalised event planning experience.
Mokoena is seen and admired as an inspiration to the women and youth of her community. Being a mother of two and a wife who is a successful player in the business world is the validation many young women need that their dreams can co-exist with other responsibilities.
