Hope Alive Radio
Selokela Slu Molamodi hosts Hope Alive Radio’s breakfast show weekdays from 06h00 to 09h00. Through her breakfast show, Slu aims to inspire, empower and encourage her listeners. Hope Alive Radio is a fast-growing online Christian platform under Hope Alive Ministries. The station’s studios are in Kempton Park.
A critical conversationalist at heart, Slu also works with various youth initiatives to host community dialogues around different social issues. She is also a policy champion under ACTIVATE! Change Drivers, driving voter education conversations.
Slu is immersed in women empowermentprogrammes, which is why she has dedicated Wednesdays on her show to women. ‘Womandla Wednesday’ as she calls it, is all about celebrating women. From featuring an all-women play list to offering business tips for women entrepreneurs, Slu is intentional about utilising her platform to make a difference in women’s lives.
As a winner of the 2021 SAfm guest presenter search, Slu co-hosted Beyond the Headline with Aldrin Sampear on Youth Day. Despite having been on non-religious platforms such as Voice of Wits and Power FM as a guest, she nevertheless holds Christian radio in higher regard as far as purpose-driven content is concerned.
