More info:

Surprise Manyaiyi embodies the virtues of a modern day lawyer: confident, articulate and rooted among the people she serves. Manyaiyi co-runs OMM Attorneys, a small black women-owned law firm with offices in three provinces. The firm aspires to be an all-encompassing firm that offers efficient legal solutions to its clients and provides legal education to communities in accessible ways.

According to Manyaiyi, the firm’s heart beats in sync with each person they represent, ensuring that they humanise the law. “We pride ourselves in our client-centric approach when dealing with matters and a solid network of reputable counsels and experts across the country who advise, from time to time, on our matters,” she says.

“We have thus far seen God’s favour in the diversity of the matters we are entrusted with, many of which we managed to finalise.”

Manyaiyi, an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Free State, boasts a solid record in student leadership and community service.  In addition to being elected SRC vice-president at the UFS, she mobilised the campus community to donate basic necessities for needy students.

She was a Brand South Africa Play Your Part Ambassador and a Fellow at the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation.
