More info:

Tryphosa Singo, a 51-year-old visionary, is rewriting the narrative that the construction sector is a boys club. Singo is the Founder and CEO of PhophiAnnah (Pty) Ltd, a construction company established in 2020 and headquartered in Fourways. The name of her business is derived from her two daughters Phophi and Annah.

With an honours degree in political sciences, Singo’s 21 years at the department of justice and Constitutional development laid the foundation for her entrepreneurial success. She has cut a figure as a woman of stature in the construction industry, leading to her attending influential events as far as Dubai. Additionally, she has received the Global Good Governance Ambassadors Award in Nigeria for her commitment to corporate social responsibility and the Africa’s under 40 CEO’s award in Kenya.

Her determination extends beyond business as she actively supports social development through the PhophiAnnah Foundation NPC, dedicated to helping children from government schools and informal settlements.

“In construction, my biggest achievements to date are the contracts that I have so far. I have contracts in Tri-Star, Rubex, Midrand and Steyn City,” she reveals.

“There is still a lot of work to be done in the construction industry. We have not reached the correct percentage that might be needed as a country. We still must work on that, and I urge ladies to not be intimidated to accept such positions,” she concludes.
