More info:

Tseleng Sabela from Tembisa is at the forefront of agro-processing and food manufacturing as the co-founder of Women in Flavour Group Pty (Ltd). Based in Kya Sands in Randburg, Sabela’s company defies the odds and operates profitably amid challenges.

Beyond business, she runs the Wives Corner, an initiative that supports women striving to balance their domestic and professional lives.

Through workshops and a WhatsApp group, the initiative preaches a sense of community and empowers women to prioritise their dreams.

“We continuously communicate and empower one another, so that wives know that they aren’t alone; we are our sisters’ keepers,” she says.

Sabela’s achievements include not only co-founding her business during the Covid-19 pandemic but also her dedication to sharing four decades of industry experience with disadvantaged female entrepreneurs as well as being a mother. “I am passionate about helping women discover themselves and helping them to pursue their own God-given gifts, talents and passions,” she states.

While progress has been made, Sabela acknowledges the uphill battle women, especially women of colour, still face in the South African food industry. Despite these challenges, her relentless spirit shines through.

“We will never give up,” she proclaims.
