More info:

Tshepiso Mnisi is the founder of Lethu Textiles based in Pretoria, Gauteng. She intends to use clothing and fashion to make her mark in the world. According to Mnisi, she has always been interested in entrepreneurship. “Growing up, I always attempted different business ideas and trying new things. The concept of having your own is something that has always intrigued me,” she says.

She adds that coming to the realisation you have the creative ability to imagine an idea or a concept and breathe life into it is an amazing feeling.

“Growing up I was never concerned about fashion or the clothes I wear. It only started when I became a young adult. I started to realise that the way you dress and present yourself to the world influences how the world perceives you and engages with you,” says Mnisi.

Mnisi also believes the way you dress has an influence on how you feel about yourself. This led her to creating a brand that not only helps her customers express their Africanness, but one that allows them to stand confident.

“I wanted to create a brand not just for us, but also for the world to carry a part of Africa with them.

“I am passionate about people, making a difference and helping individuals take pride and feel confident about who they are,” she explains.

In her pursuit of building her brand, Mnisi prides herself in being an Investec StartUp School Alumni as well as having launched Lotsha Onaka store which features Lethu Textiles and the Lethu Textiles clothing line called Lethu Couture.
