A beacon of hope for rural youth and women in South Africa, Berlina Lekgethwane uses the power of the word to deliver motivational talks at schools, colleges, and universities to inspire students to value education like her. She also conducts academic seminars, women's conferences where she preaches about the importance of education and self-sustenance as a weapon of personal and community development. Following her recent completion of the Master of Public Administration, she intends to pursue her PhD in the 2026 academic year. Her selfless efforts have not gone unnoticed. She became a finalist in the Mrs. South Africa pageant in 2023. She received the Women's Empowerment Award and Mrs. Personality Award. She won the 2024 Fabulous Women Empowerment Award. 2025 saw her being honoured with the Youth Leadership Award at the National Youth Shakers and Conclave and the World Conferences of Mayors.
