Project Name/Description:
Zoey Community Foundation

More info:

Despite being brought up in a difficult environment by a single parent, she learnt to be resilient and hard-working to achieve her dreams. She has used faith and education as invisible weapons in addressing problems she confronts in her life.   She and her husband founded their electrical company in 2013, JTN Electric (Pty) Ltd, which was largely driven by a combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial ambition, and a recognition of market need.  Zoey Community Foundation was established in 2023 after she experienced that most households were underprivileged. They have been restoring hope, preserving dignity, and providing much-needed support. The company he co-owns with her husband is one of the supportive stakeholders for the foundation.  One of her challenges is that there is a growing demand for the foundation, “there is a growing number of individuals seeking food assistance. As the cost of living continues to rise and unemployment affects more families in our community, the demand for support has far exceeded our initial expectations,” Khanye said.
