Founder, Breathe Life
A relentless, inspiring, and driving woman described by her community as more than professional and a community leader, she is a catalyst for transformation. Through her organisation, Catherine has breathed hope into the lives of those she touches, proving that one person’s vision can spark a movement. Her story is one of courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Catherine says: “Service is not just an act - it’s a calling. When we uplift others, we build a legacy of love and possibility that outlives us all." While she has been a professional for over sixteen years, Catherine has never ditched her call to service, for helping others. Breathe Life has managed to empower marginalised communities, becoming a pillar of hope for countless individuals in Pacaltsdorp and beyond. Catherine curated an innovative aftercare programme for learners while maintaining her pastoral ministry, motivational talks, and her tireless community outreach initiatives. Catherine is rewriting the narrative of possibility for those she serves. Her life’s work is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and selfless service. Catherine’s commitment to her community work is what will distinguish her legacy. She has worked wonders in spearheading projects that address critical needs, from food drives and skills development activities and youth empowerment initiatives. Her hands-on approach—whether organising events, collaborating with local stakeholders, or personally mentoring individuals—reflects her belief that change begins with action. Her projects have touched thousands of lives, fostering unity, dignity, and opportunity in communities often overlooked. She concludes: "No challenge is too big when we work together. Community is our greatest asset, and compassion is our strongest tool."
