AgriLadder, Founder and CEO

More info:

Nokwanda Thango has followed in her father’s footsteps, establishing herself in the agricultural sector. She never saw herself as a farmer, as she used to assist her father in his goat-farming. Today, she is one of the recognised women farmers in the country. As a full-time farmer, she has started her business, AgriLadder, to offer a distinct hands-on training to farmers, learners, and agricultural industries in a bid to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and realities in the agricultural space.   Her IT and Business Management skills are useful in moulding her business. She is currently pursuing her Human Resource Management qualification as she wants to elevate her knowledge. She has also adopted sustainable practices, promoting healthier and more sustainable food systems.  Despite some challenges such as animal disease outbreaks, stock theft, and limited funding support, she has demonstrated remarkable resilience and bold leadership. “I remain motivated by my family, particularly my son and siblings, who inspire me to set a good example through my successes,” she said.  She is highly committed to environmental stewardship and community upliftment. She is dedicated to producing high-quality, nutritious food without neglecting the environment.
