Driven by a strong sense of self-reliance, Sanelisiwe Sithole is using farming and sustainable development to address the socio-economic issues of Nkopane village in the Eastern Cape and other communities in South Africa. Her generosity and kindness have reached the corners of many communities through the creation of employment opportunities, food security initiatives, social and environmental justice programs, rural development efforts, as well as initiatives that empower youth and women. Simply Green Cleaning Solution, her company, is solving two problems: skyrocketing youth unemployment and climate change. It is an eco-friendly establishment that promotes sustainability to the core. The Sanelisiwe Sithole Foundation is premised on her principal values, such as uplifting others. The Foundation is running a soup kitchen in Nkopane, Sterkspruit, in the Eastern Cape, while empowering youth. She is planting vegetables that will be used in the soup kitchen. She holds a BA in Communication Science and Industrial and Organisational Psychology, and she is looking at pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Relations.
