Court Intermediary and Supervisor of the Family section at Evander Magistrate's court Director, Women Navigating the Future Network Social and Community Impact
Thembisile is invested in the care and well-being of children and young people, doing such through unparalleled dedication that has seen her not only obtain the qualifications, but also get involved. As a child and youth care worker professional, she has also accumulated experience by working as a family preservation officer with St Anthony CYCC. Further, she has a decade-long experience working as a court intermediary across the sexual offences, divorce, children, and domestic and harassment courts. Another feather in her cap is that of being the director of Women Navigating the Future Network and Social Community Impact, where she was the support and lead protector of the work done by women to promote community development and the well-being of young women. The network now has stakeholders of non-profit organisations, where Thembisile assists with advocacy work and monitors the sustainability of their good work. She has been recognised with several awards, such as the South African Heroine winner in 2021, Women Navigating the Future Network, Certificate of commitment 2022, among others. Thembisile has a diploma and B-Tech degree in child and youth development from the Durban University of Technology, and an honours degree in developmental studies with Unisa. She says: “I have been sent by God to respond to the vulnerable community, through my work done with passion, dedication, and confidentiality through Evander Magistrate cluster court and Women Navigating the Future Network by serving people with grace and expecting nothing in return. She is involved in other projects, such as the Nomkhubulwane cultural group, consisting of with hundred and eighty-seven young girls, thirty boys, and one hundred and two parents, where her work focuses on promoting social impact and global change, by linking the maidens with all relevant stakeholders to provide support and educational activities.
