Case dismissed; no time for faux chivalry in Justice Maya’s court

Chief Justice Mandisa Maya just dropped a judicial mic so loud it’s echoing from the Constitutional Court to Stellenbosch. While Casac’s Lawson Naidoo was busy playing knight in shining armour – charging in to “defend her honour” without so much as a WhatsApp – Maya hit him with the legal equivalent of “Tsek, I’ve got this.”

So, a bunch of unelected do-gooders, clutching their “We speak for women” placards, tried to weaponise her name in a complaint against Dali Mpofu. Their crime? Gross patriarchy cloaked in false chivalry – a phrase so spicy it could revive a dead potjie. Maya, cooler than a Durban July hat, declared, “Don’t braai on my behalf.”

Imagine the audacity: men appointing themselves guardians of a woman who’s literally the guardian of justice. The irony is thicker than a tenderpreneur’s wallet.

While liberals scramble to “save” a country they’ve never bothered to vote for properly, Maya’s out here teaching master classes in Integrity 101. No performative wokeness, no LinkedIn activism—just a crisp “Hayi, suka” to anyone using her as a pawn in their chess game of clout.

She’s not here for your saviour complexes, your hashtag feminism, or your “we know what’s best” condescension. Next time, Casac, maybe ask before you assume? Or better yet – sit down. Maya’s courtroom doesn’t need backup dancers.
