Heritage Festival returns with a massive bang: 40 artists perform

Gossip girl headed out to the artist reveal of Limpopo’s biggest event, the Heritage Festival, which is making a comeback after being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Forty artists in total – what a wow!

Siphelele Sixaso from Phalaphala FM said he was excited about the return of the festival’s 13th edition. Shwa was just lost in translation as the presenter, real Miss P, and her colleague, who were the hosts of the event, beautifully went on and on in Tshivenda.

It was a breath of fresh air to see people taking pride in their heritage speaking Tshivenda to teach the Joburg media personel a thing or two about self-love. United in our diversity in action!

Ronewa Mudau, and her on-screen hubby Gabriel Temudzani, graced the event too. Shwa didn’t know the man was that tall. And Shwa loves herself a tall man.

Former Muvhango actor, Sydney Ramakuwela, also came by to show his support for his hometown festival.

By the way, what are you up to these days? Shwa is curious to know since Mulalo is no longer on screen.

Dichaba Phalatse from SABC 2 tried to explain why some shows were coming to an end on the channel but Shwa didn’t quite understand the explanation.

He also said the festival would be broadcast on SABC 2 but only in December. The festival will take place mid-September.

Care to explain how this makes sense for viewers to watch stale news?

Shwa also saw festival chairman, Shandukani Nesengani, who seemed so humble in person and made sure that the media launch was a success.

Makhadzi performed wearing her pink dress, which kind of gave Shwa flashbacks of Zanele Potelwa’s Barbie outfit. Creepy vibes.

Shwa really thought Makhadzi would remain a lady and perform with her heels, on but no. I guess she just can’t hold herself together.

Podcast and Chill’s MacG also graced the panel, good to see you out and about and congratulations on making your family official; it was about time. I guess we must thank the one million subscribers for that proposal.
