Killer found no drive in his new job
Katlego “Killer” Mphela gave it his best shot, but selling cars was just not his thang.
The retired former Bafana Bafana star and Mamelodi Sundowns lethal goalpoacher, who was known for life in the fast lane and for hitting the bottle, was introduced in November as a car salesman at VW Lindsay Saker, Midrand.
After an impressive start, selling wheels in impressive numbers, “Killer” was soon bored stiff with the 9-5 gig and has sped out of the dealership with the kind of speed he once applied in his heyday, leaving defenders flat-footed.
He has quit selling cars and is now focusing on his football foundation and ambassador roles.
