Lalavuka for Safa NEC members in damp squib meeting
Safa held the longest national executive committee meeting last week that could easily claim a prize in the Guinness Book of Records.
The Ultra Marathon meeting, started at 2:00pm on Friday and ended at 05:00am on Saturday. It is said that knuckle-sandwiches were almost traded as things got heated with the one camp calling for president Danny Jordaan to leave the meeting and the other corner gunning for the rebellious members to be suspended for violating communication policy.
At the end, after a staggering 15 hours, it came to naught and NEC members zig-zagged to sleep in the wee hours of the morning.
