The Joy might just convince Doja Cat to come home
Over the weekend South African vocal boy band group The Joy performed at Coachella, joining Doja Cat to open her headline performance.
This comes after they were hand-selected by her as a guest, Shwa is starting to think Doja Cat might be missing home and the only people that can get her here are The Joy.
The Hammersdale-born boys provided lead vocals alongside the American rapper on two of her tracks, her recent single, Acknowledge Me and Shutcho, which was reimagined to incorporate lyrics in isiZulu.
This monumental moment for the five-piece arrives on the heels of their recent single, You Complete Me. Shwa is proud of The Joy who continue to prove themselves abroad, just last year they were on Jennifer Hudson’s show and as a country, we thank you for raising the flag up high.
