Uncle Sam’s detention slip for ‘naughty’ Iran
Well, well. The school bell’s ringing, and America’s playing principal again. This weekend, the self-appointed hall monitor of global order decided Iran needed a stern talking-to – or rather, a few bunker-buster bombs – over its nuclear detention slip.
The US claims its little aerial detention reduced Iran’s nuclear mischief by a few semesters. How thoughtful! Never mind the small matter of sovereignty or that Washington’s own nuclear report card reads like a doomsday ledger.
The audacity is staggering: lecturing others on restraint while lobbing missiles like hall passes. And let’s not forget the backdrop: Israel and Iran finally scrapping like overtired prefects after years of hallway shoves. Instead of calming tensions, America – drunk on that vintage exceptionalism bourbon – chose escalation. Because nothing says “responsible adult” like bombing your way to diplomacy.
