Shobi knew from a tender age that he wanted to be a teacher. He would write on anything and imitate his teachers after school. His decision was reinforced when the results in Physical Science shot up during his first year of teaching. “That built my confidence. I gained the trust of parents, learners and of the Department of Education.” This saw him being in the top ten teachers in grade 12 over the years, which gives him great satisfaction and drives him to do more.
He thrives under challenges and Covid 19 helped him realise challenges are there to be overcome.
