AmaZulu football club forward and husband to the daughter of the club’s owner Bonginkosi Ntuli has passed away.
Ntuli who criss-crossed the opponents in his Usuthu jersey No 7 reportedly passed away on Sunday afternoon at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital, in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
This after his recent diagnosis of an aggressive form of cancer.
On Sunday, the club issued a statement confirming the news of Ntuli’s passing and urged the public to give them privacy.
In the statement AmaZulu’s public relations officer Philani Ndlela said the club has lost a loyal servant in Ntuli.
“May his beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. Further announcements will be made in due course,” said Ndlela.
Ntuli, a newlywed to AmaZulu Football Club CEO’s Sandile Zungu’s daughter, Sinenjabulo Zungu, made things official in May in a traditional affair which made them one step closer to officially becoming Mr and Mrs Ntuli.
In September the lovebirds tied the knot in a private ceremony in KwaZulu-Natal.
They later jetted off to enjoy their honeymoon which was in the Maldives, followed by another trip to Europe where they were joined by family and friends.
One minute you are here the next you are gone. His teammates were happy for him ka his wedding day….
