ANC MP Sibusiso Kula back in court for murder of his wife

ANC MP Sibusiso Kula is back at the Orkney magistrate’s court on Monday to answer to charges of murder.

The 34-year-old Kula, who has been in police custody since his arrest in January, is accused of killing his wife who was found dead inside their house on November 27 2022 in what seemed like a robbery gone wrong.

According to Henry Mamothame, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, Kula’s wife was found with a stab wound on her back but the object used to kill her has not been recovered.

According to police reports, Kula is alleged to have transported his wife to the hospital for medical treatment.
He told police officers at the time that he was not at home when the attack took place.
However, as the police investigation progressed, Kula was linked to the murder and was subsequently arrested on January 20.
