Angry Jagersfontein mine dam disaster victims still waiting for help

As the ANC concluded its 55th national conference and celebrated its 111th anniversary in Mangaung, the Free State, Maki Diale of Jagersfontein is still waiting on government to help her reconstruct her house.

In September, Jagersfontein, a diamond-mining town in the south of Free State, about 110 km from Bloemfontein, was thrust into the international spotlight after it was befallen by a disaster that saw more than 160 houses destroyed, and two people killed, following the collapse of a tailings dam.
