After more than a decade at the helm of Mpumalanga’s education department, HOD Lucy Moyane, pictured, has clearly skipped a key lesson from her own teachers: when the heat rises, take your package and disappear quietly.
But instead of resigning, she opted for a month-long leave, returned to attend a G20 meeting, and walked straight into a suspension letter.
Shwa reckons if the department can’t master procurement rules, at least Moyane should’ve mastered the art of a graceful exit.
