Bloemfontein police investigate after discovery of three dead people

Police have launched an investigation after three bodies were found tied and strangled at a house in Van Heerden Street in Bloemfontein.

Police spokesperson Captain Loraine Earle identified the bodies as those of two women and a man. 


“The police were summoned to a crime scene where three bodies belonging to two women and a man were found on Thursday morning. The bodies have been identified, they belong to Christo Theron, Janine Theron and Betsie Kruger,” said Earle.

She said the police were on the scene early in the morning until late in the afternoon to thoroughly collect evidence.

“The preliminary investigation on the scene indicated that they were tied up and strangled. It is unknown how many perpetrators were involved. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, a laptop and personal items.”

Police have urged the public to come forward should they have information on the case.

“One can contact the nearest police station or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Anonymous tip-offs can be communicated via the MySAPS App on your smart phone. Information received will be treated as confidential.”
