Investigative television journalist Devi Sankaree won big on Thursday at the National Press Club Awards for her e.tv show The Devi Show.
It won for Journalist of the Year and the Television features, investigative and actuality category award. Devi took to social media to thank viewers for their continued support.
“Without you, there will be no show,” she wrote.
Newzroom Afrika Journalist Zikhona Tshona also bagged Journalist of the Year in the Television news category.
Tshona has shared in the past that she has a passion for human interest stories and journalism that seeks to achieve social justice.
She said her secret is to be authentic and look for stories that are heartfelt and that no one is looking at. Her aim is to be different and allow people to tell their own stories.
