Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk has agreed to buy Twitter, an American microblogging and social networking service, for $44-billion (R692-billion).
Musk, who was born in South Africa and is the world’s richest person, is now the largest shareholder on Twitter. He committed to make sure that all the ghost accounts do not find a room on the social media platform.
His initial bid earlier in April was to purchase the social media platform for $43-billion, which he said at the time was his best and final offer.
