Gauteng-born Natasha Joubert crowned Miss SA 2023

Radiant Natasha Joubert is Miss South Africa 2023.

The Gauteng-born beauty queen was crowned at the glamorous ceremony held at the Sun Bet Arena in Pretoria on Sunday evening.

Nande Mabala and Bryoni Govender emerged as runners-up in the star-studded ceremony attended by many beauty fanatics and celebrities including Pearl Modiadie, Blue Mbombo, and Lasizwe, among others.

Also in attendance were former Miss South Africa title holders Jo-Ann Stauss and Tamryn Green.

Joubert, who was the second runner-up in the Miss South Africa 2020, walked away with R1-million, a three-bedroom penthouse apartment, a Mercedes Benz, and a paid trip to Paris, among other prizes.

Prior to Miss South Africa 2020, Joubert worked as a public relations officer for a law firm and was also the founder and owner of the fashion design company Natalia Jefferys.

She began her pageantry career in 2016 when she competed in Miss Globe South Africa 2016. She won the title and went on to secure a place in the top five at Miss Globe 2016.

The new Miss SA, who impressed a panel of judges, will represent the country at the Miss Universe competition.

Overwhelmed with emotions and still beaming with excitement, she accepted the crown from Limpopo-born Ndavi Nokeri, whose reign as Miss South Africa 2022 has come to an end after a year on the throne.

Joubert said she is determined to make a difference during her reign by constantly reminding South Africans that they need each other to progress as a nation.
