Hunt under way after two men were ambushed in Durban CBD

The police have cast the net wide for unknown suspects who allegedly gunned down two men on Yousuf Daddo Street in Durban central on Tuesday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said the victims, who are believed to be in their thirties, were found with multiple gunshot wounds. They succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

“Reports indicate that the two men were seated in a vehicle when they were approached by two armed suspects who started shooting at them,” said Netshiunda

“The suspects are reported to have fled the scene in a grey Toyota Avanza with Durban registration plates.”

The police are investigating the motive for the killing.
