The Inanda Polo Club in Sandton will hold its annual Polo event between September 15 and 17 in association with Heineken.
The 2023 event will be held under the theme “Playful Luxury”, which will be about celebrating the finer things in life while embracing the joy of the unexpected.
Inanda club manager Craig James said it is thrilled to present the All-Invitational Inanda Polo showdown.
The event does not only showcase the finesse of the sport but also embodies the values of diversity, the spirit of spring time, and the beauty of synergetic partnerships.
“The Heineken All-Invitational Inanda Polo in association with Mercedes-Benz, QMS and L’Or Espresso will be a true reflection of how different strengths, industries, and vibrancies can come together in perfect harmony, much like the players and their horses on the polo field,” said James.
James said unlike in 2022 the event, which will get under way on a Friday to Sunday, will also feature women.
“On Sunday we will have a big final after the knockouts which will take place between Friday and Saturday. There will be surprises for the winners as well.”
Meanwhile, Standard Bank will host its Polo on September 16 with media personality Pearl Modiadie at the Inanda Country Base in Kyalami.
Ben Moseme, The African Deluxe Company’s frontman and executive producer, said as it has been proven, the Standard Bank Polo in The Park is not only about the polo but also about the lifestyle that accompanies the time-honoured sport: fashion, food and music.
“This highly prestigious polo affair was not only created to celebrate life but also to showcase what SA has to offer to the rest of the world,” said Moseme.
“Our passion to develop the sport of kings in the country has culminated in this annual gathering, which we will continue to grow annually.”
