Johannesburg – South Africa’s National Lottery Operator, ITHUBA is looking for two lucky jackpot winners where over R22 million has been won.
ITHUBA said it is pleased to announce that the PowerBall jackpot from Tuesday 15 June 2021 of over R22 Million has been won, by two lucky players.
“Each winner will receive an impressive R11 Million,” ITHUBA said in a statement.
The first winning ticket was purchased on the National Lottery website online platform, with a ticket wager of R60 using the manual selection method.
The second winning ticket was purchased just hours before the draw took place in Orange Farm Stretford, Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The winner only spent R15 on the winning ticket using the Quick Pick selection method.
CEO of ITHUBA, Charmaine Mabuza, said, “A huge congratulations to our newest multi-millionaires, we are excited to see many of our players opting to play the National Lottery on the various platforms that we have available to our players. We implemented strategies to move the National Lottery into a digital realm to offer players the opportunity to purchase Lottery products anytime, anywhere”, said Mabuza.
“On the other hand, the LOTTO jackpot from Saturday 19 June 2021 of over R15 Million was also won. The winner played using the FNB Banking APP and spent R30 on the winning ticket using the Quick Pick selection method. All three jackpot winners have not yet contacted ITHUBA, we urge all players to check their tickets,” ITHUBA further stated.
Winners of R50 000 and more receive extensive financial advice as well as trauma counselling from qualified psychologists, to help them deal with their new financial circumstances. These advisory services come at no cost to the winner.
All national lottery winnings are tax free.
