Limpopo comedian Kagiso Ramoshai dies in car crash

A car accident has claimed the life of the revered Limpopo content creator and comedian Kagiso “The Pope” Ramoshai.

The former University of Limpopo community station Radio Turf presenter’s death was revealed by the Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM).

Shock and dismay

LAM said in a media statement that “it has learnt with shock and dismay of the passing of one of the province’s rising star Psalmist Kagiso Ramoshai who was popularly known as The Pope especially on social media”.

“Kagiso carved an inspiring name for himself starting from the humble beginnings of music recording, radio broadcasting until he rose to prominence through the display of his many talents,” said LAM’s Mphoza Mashabela.

Mashabela described Ramoshai as an inspirational figure who unearthed talent from far-flung areas.
Inspirational character

“The pope, showed especially talented people from the humble villages of Limpopo that only the sky is the limit and that one should use what they have to advance themselves and their passions,” said Mashabela.

Mashabela added that The Pope loved both God and other people and that the music industry was poorer without him.

“His love for God, people and entertainment was palatable in everyone of his widely loved videos.

“Death has robbed the Limpopo entertainment sector in a huge way. We would like to send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and fans. May his youthful soul rest in eternal peace,” said Mashabela.
