The murder case of Nqobizitha Zulu and Tshiamo Rinyane has been postponed to May 12 to allow the state to fix one of the accused paperwork for legal aid.
Fifty-year-old Nqobile Ndlovu, grandmother to Tshiamo, and her 39-year-old partner Mthunzi Zulu made their second appearance at the Protea North magistrate’s court on Friday for the murders of the boys.
Ndlovu and Zulu face charges of perjury, defeating the ends of justice, kidnapping and murder. They were arrested a week ago after the boys’ mutilated bodies were found dumped in the township.
Nqobizitha and Tshiamo, aged five and six, were playing with a friend when they were snatched by unknown men in an unidentified vehicle in April.
Their bodies, with missing private parts, noses and lips, were found the following day a few kilometres away from each other at Thokoza Park in Rockville, Soweto.
