Johannesburg – Amother to a three month old baby has been arrested for the alleged murder of the child.
A statement by the South African Police Service states that the 24-year-old woman was expected to appear before the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court today, 14 June 2021,
The horrific incident happened on Friday, 11 June 2021, at Avontuur near Middelburg.
According to the police statement, the woman and her baby visited her daughter’s father at the farm where the latter works.
But it’s alleged that on her arrival, the man refused to let them inside and she allegedly threatened to kill their baby girl if he did not open the door.
The baby was then allegedly thrown on the ground and when paramedics arrived, the child was certified dead.
