- The South African government found themselves scrambling earlier this week, to validate the birth of ten babies from a woman which went viral on social media.
Eventually, the mayor of Ekhurhuleni came forward and his office had located the family.

Mayor Mzwandile Masina addressed Government Communciation and Information (GCIS) Director-General Phumla Williams via Twitter and said, “We’ve found the family and we are informed babies are well. Will share the information with National Gov, I know we were a joke ystday when Gov was genuinely looking for family. Some of our local comrades have been assisting this family. So we are good OK.”
In a statement, issued through the Department of Social Development, the family said they wish to confirm that on Monday 07 June 2021 at about 11am they received a call from the hospital informing them of the birth.

2. Embattled Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize began the week making news after Sunday World revealed that it had emerged that a day after it was reported that Mkhize may have personally benefited from the scandalous R150-million Digital Vibes contract, the department quietly issued suspension letters to four officials involved in the saga.

Later in the week, Mkhize was granted a special leave of absence from his post by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

3. President Cyril Ramaphosa, in an effort to battle loadshedding gave companies in the country the green light to generate their own electricity.

4. More explosive details of Pitso Mosimane and Mamelodi Sundowns’ four-year employment contract, which the two parties signed last year, have come to light.

5. Radio and television icon Azania Mosaka and her mother Ouma Mosaka are embroiled in a legal battle with her late father’s second wife over the division of their joint estate.
The Radio 702 talk show host and her mother have obtained an urgent court interdict in the Joburg High Court to stop her step-mother Felicity Mosaka and the Master of the High Court from disposing of, alienating, liquidating, distributing, and administering the estate of her late father Rabotapi Mosaka.
