The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is fast asleep while the continental beautiful game is degenerating into what is now weekly ugly scenes.
Then the CAF head honchos will complain when there is a sponsors’ boycott like they have no clue what caused it.
The scuffles that broke out in Loftus Versfeld and Orlando stadiums recently during Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates home matches against North African opponents are a total shame.
The Orlando Stadium incident should not have happened had there been tough action for the earlier Loftus incident.
Shame on the CAF leadership for looking the other way when they ought to be firm and teach hooligans that violence has no place in sport.
