Johannesburg – Gauteng police said on Tuesday that they have arrested two of the most wanted suspects in the province, who have especially been terrorising the community of Olievenhoutbosch in Tshwane, as well surrounding areas.
The suspects are said to be linked to several cases of murder, house robberies and business robberies.
They were arrested in Cosmo City, Johannesburg and found with unlicensed firearms loaded with ammunition.
Acting Provincial Commissioner of the police in Gauteng Major General Tommy Mthombeni applauded the team for the arrest of the notorious criminals who had been taunting the community.
“This is a breakthrough for the intervention team that has been formed to trace and arrest these most notorious and wanted suspects. These arrests will help us to close most cases of house robberies, business robberies and murders where these suspects are linked,” said Mthombeni.
They will appear at the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
