About 22 people have been rushed to hospitals around Durban after a horrifying multi-vehicle crash on the M41 east bound in Umhlanga Ridge on Monday morning.
Reports say a truck driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with multiple vehicles. At the time of reporting, a total of 52 vehicles had been involved in the crash.
Police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo confirmed the accident and said no fatalities have been reported so far.
“This morning on M41 a truck collided with multiple vehicles. There are no fatalities that have been reported. Police and emergency personnel are still at the scene to assess and monitor the situation,” said Ngcobo.
