Bernard Parker secures big deal with sports betting company

Former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goal poacher Bernard Parker has scored a deal that will see him become a brand ambassador for sports betting firm BoyleSports.

Parker is currently in the books of TS Galaxy, who are campaigning in the DStv Premiership.

The goal poacher, who scored over 60 goals in 363 appearances for Chiefs during his 10 years at Naturena, is launching an autobiography titled From a Shack to Destiny in September.

The autobiography chronicles his remarkable journey from poverty to a long and illustrious sporting career. He is in his 20th season as a professional football player.

The star striker, affectionately known as “Die Hond” (The Dog), said he is excited about the partnership with BoyleSports, an established international brand.

With over 40 years of experience in the gaming industry, 390 retail outlets across Ireland and the UK and a growing digital presence across both countries, BoyleSports, which launched in South Africa in 2022, has ambitions to establish itself as a leading player.

“I’m all about inspiring others to go after their dreams regardless of their circumstances,” said Parker.

“That’s why becoming an ambassador for BoyleSports resonates with me, because their entrenched values of family and community align strongly with mine.

“I look forward to a long and productive association with this world-class betting brand and hope to help them grow their presence and footprint in South Africa.

“It will be exciting to return home to make waves both on and off the pitch.”

Andre Scheun, head of marketing for BoyleSports in South Africa, said: “Since launching in Mzansi in October last year, we’re thrilled that South African sports fans have welcomed us with open arms as one of the most trusted international brands in the betting industry.

“As a family-owned bookmaker, we are passionate about forging long-lasting bonds with communities in which we operate, and we’re confident that having Bernard in our corner will give us an extra edge, as we strive to cement our position among top betting services.”

BoyleSports South Africa offers a range of betting products including sports betting, horseracing, fixed-odd lotteries, casinos and virtual.
