Billiat ghosts Chiefs as ambitious Amakhosi sign Potsane

Kaizer Chiefs have given an update on the contract situation of Khama Billiat. Amakhosi have also announced the capture of former Royal AM player Tebogo Potsane on Saturday.

“Following the expiry of attacking midfielder Khama Billiat’s Kaizer Chiefs contract on June 30, Chiefs tabled a new offer for the Zimbabwean marksman to remain with Amakhosi. However, to date, the player has not responded to the offer or any attempts to contact him.

“Billiat was last seen at the Kaizer Chiefs Village on June 29 and has not answered any of the calls made or messages sent to him by the club.

“The team is currently in camp with all the players, yet Billiat, who is also expected to be there with his teammates, failed to show up and is currently nowhere to be found,” reads Chiefs’ statement.

Regarding Potsane, Chiefs said: “Kaizer Chiefs’ march towards a new era of success gathered further momentum on Saturday with the signing of Tebogo Potsane, who was with Royal AM last season.

“Amakhosi have secured the 29-year-old right winger on a three-year contract, making him the seventh new arrival at Naturena in a busy transfer window. Welcome to Kaizer Chiefs, Tebogo. We look forward to cheering you in the Gold & Black!”

Potsane follows the arrival of Venezuelan international Edson Castillo, who was unveiled by the club on Friday night.
