South African born coach Pitso Mosimane is getting the recognition he deserves from the world football governing body, Fifa, for his remarkable coaching career.
On Thursday, Fifa paid tribute to Mosimane after he successfully guided Al Ahli Saudi to gain promotion into the Saudi Arabia Pro League following their 2-1 victory against Hajer Club on Wednesday.
Taking it back to his triumphs with Al Ahly, Jingles, as he is affectionately known, led the Egyptian giants to back-to-back Fifa Club World Cups and winning two bronze medals at the global tournament.
Fifa took to social media and compiled a remarkable video that was accompanied by a heartfelt message.
“They call him the man of hard times,” read the tweet.
“Pitso Mosimane, the man who won two consecutive bronze medals with Al-Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup.
“And here he is writing a new history with Al-Ahly, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.”

Mosimane’s success story began with South African outfit Mamelodi Sundowns, where he steered them into winning their first ever Caf Champions League title, and the club has since been a dominant force in African football.
Mosimane received his long overdue Saudi Arabia first division Coach of the Month accolade for the month of February – following an impressive start as an Ahli coach in September last year.
The Royal are currently back on top of the log standings, three points ahead of second placed Al Akhdoud. With four games to go, Mosimane will hope to close off the season with a cherry on top by winning the league title.
