Sukazi’s first wife stays away

Makoti boycotted soccer boss’s wedding

Football agent Tim Sukazi’s first wife, Phumi Sukazi, allegedly boycott ed his wedding to his second wife, Dudu Sukazi.

Sukazi, the owner of football club TS Galaxy that beat Kaizer Chiefs to win the Nedbank Cup in 2019, walked down the aisle with Dudu, his significant other of 10 years, at a glamorous wedding in Eshowe , KwaZulu-Natal, in December.

The wedding was graced by, among others, well-known KwaZulu-Natal polygamist Musa Mseleku, who presents Mzansi Magic reality show Mnakwethu.

Although Mseleku, who has four wives, is known for supporting polygamous unions that are supported by first wives, concerns were raised about whether Phumi, who was conspicuous by her absence at the wedding, has blessed Sukazi’s second marriage to Dudu.

Sukazi, a lawyer and owner of Sukazi Inc, declined to comment.

“No, I don’t want to comment on the matter. I don’t want to give life to it,” he said.

Phumi could not be reached for comment. Dudu confirmed she got hitched to Sukazi as his second wife and that Phumi was not present at the white wedding.

“Maybe she did not want to see it,” she said.

Dudu further said that although Phumi had snubbed the wedding, there was no bad blood between them because they visited each other and had also attended family gatherings together after the wedding last year.

She also said that although Sukazi married Phumi first, they had a polygamous relationship for 10 years.

“For your information, when they got married, I was with him and she knew [about me]. He had to marry the one he met first then mine was to follow. We were both his girlfriends 10 years ago,” she explained in a text message.
