Ntsetsao Motsumi resigns as speaker for North West legislature

Ntsetsao Viola Motsumi has resigned as deputy speaker of the North West provincial legislature.

Motsumi, a member of the ANC, was elected to the provincial legislature in 2019, making her the youngest deputy speaker in the country. She succeeded Jane Manganye.

She has now been appointed as a member of the executive council for education in the province, after Wendy Matsemela resigned.

“I have just resigned as the deputy speaker of the North West provincial legislature. Thanks to the African National Congress and membership of the ANC in the North West province. May God continue to guide me,” she wrote in a social media post.
