Graduation ceremonies are a moment to celebrate academic success, and as Africans, we celebrate in different ways.
But to all those calling out the graduates at the University of KwaZulu-Natal for celebrating wearing their traditional attire, labelling them “uncultured and barbaric”, you are first-class moegoes.
You are the ones that need to be called out for rejecting being African at a time when the continent is celebrating Africa Month. You are what African-Americans disparagingly call captured “house niggers”.
